When Should I Hire A Buyer Agent?

Buying a home is a big decision, and there are lots of things to consider. One of the most common questions I hear from people online especially is “when should I start looking for a buyer agent”?

Odds are, if you are asking this question, you should already have a buyer agent. Your buyer agent helps guide you through the entire process, including helping you with information to make informed choices about where to buy, when to get started, and even what financing opportunities are available to you.

When you first start searching those real estate marketing websites online to view property listings, you should also start looking for a buyer agent. You can find lots of information online, but be careful what information you use to determine what buyer agent you’re going to hire. It is perfectly fine to follow and subscribe to multiple agent’sonline accounts and to even ask questions of multiple agents. Online reviews and profiles on marketing sites can be deceiving. Ask questions, and when you’re ready to start your house hunt, you should have a good idea of who you want to work with.
